Cabot, VT Project - 36x36 High Country with (2) 10' Lean-To

Project Description:

This is a 36'x36' modular horse barn in the high country style with (2) 10' lean-tos. This Cabot, VT horse barn was built with white pine board & batten siding painted with rookwood red paint manufactured by Sherwin Williams. The corner trim and fascia and window trim and door trim and crossbucks are painted ceiling bright white. The roof has 8 pitch rafters and an insulated 28 gauge metal roof (unpainted Galvanized Color) manufactured by A.B. Martin. The smaller windows are sliding wood barn sash windows manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The larger windows are insulated double-hung Endure Series windows manufactured by ProVia Windows & Doors. The insulated service doors with window were manufactured by Bird-In-Hand Windows & Doors. The 6'x9' roll doors with windows and 4'x7' dutch doors and service doors and double loft doors with transom windows and gable vents are manufactured by J&N Structures. On the roof is a B-48 Boston Series cupola with horse weather vane manufactured by Creative Cupolas. The foundations are frost walls and partial concrete pad installed by the customer.

Layout:

This modular horse barn has (4) 12'x12' stalls and a 12'x16' tack room and a 12'x8' storage room and a 12'x36' center aisle. It has a full loft accessed via stairs in the storage room. One end of the loft has swinging double loft doors with transom windows and the other end has a sliding window and over the center aisle is a hay hole with a hinged cover. On each end, up near the peak, is a gable vent. The stalls are lined with 4' high oak kick boards and have a sliding stall door with hinged yoke into the center aisle and a sliding window and a dutch door to the outside. Between (2) stalls is a removable partition. The tack room has (2) insulated double-hung windows and an insulated service door with window into the center aisle. The storage room has a service door to the outside and an insulated service door with window into the tack room and a sliding door into the center aisle. The center aisle has double sliding doors with windows at each end. On either side of the sliding doors are extra sliding windows.
